Online Sterilisation Drive
We need to raise R650 000 to sterilise 1500 animals in the Garden Route. We need to sterilise more dogs and cats to slow down the population growth and thereby the cases of cruelty and neglect. We cannot do this without your help! Help us raise R650 000 by making a small donation.
Most domestic cats have life spans from 12 to 15 years. With an average of 5 kittens per litter and four sets of litter a year, a cat can give birth to up to 300 kittens in its lifetime. A dog can have three litters a year with up to seven puppies per litter. That equates to 126 puppies in 6 years.
A single female dog and her babies can have over 67,000 puppies in a six-year timeframe. That is over 11,000 dogs that need safe, cruelty free homes per year. It is impossible to find that many homes. That is why we must sterilise these animals before they can breed.
If we can get 3,000 of our Facebook supporters to donate R200 each, then we will be able to raise the required R650,000 to sterilise 1500 animals.
1500 sterilisations means that 1500 dogs will not start the 67,000 puppy chain, thereby solving a 100,500,000 puppy problem in the Garden Route over the next 6 years.
Together we can raise this money and be part of the solution in our community.
